Driver injured in Monday morning crash

A Monday morning accident left a driver injured after his car went airborne after he left Highway 130 in Franklin County.
The driver, Scott Thomas, 41, was driving a 2010 Honda Civic, according to highway patrol reports, heading southbound on Highway 130 near the Coffee-Franklin County line when the crash occurred around 8:25 a.m. on Feb. 20.
The investigation discovered that his vehicle ran off Route 130 on the right side and struck a tree. The Civic then went airborne before coming to rest in a driveway.
The extent of Thomas’ injuries were unknown at press time. Lawmen stated no charges are planned in connection with the accident. What prompted his leaving the road was not revealed in the report.
