You don’t go here – Car on track causes issues
A motorist who drove a car onto the train tracks in Estill Springs Wednesday, caused issues for the entire line and even caused a headache for Tullahoma motorists.
According to the Tullahoma Police Department, the railroad crossings in Tullahoma were blocked for approximately three hours per CSX due to the issue caused by the car on the track in Franklin County. Motorists were advised to use the underpass at North Washington and North Jackson Streets or the overpass at South Jackson and Carroll Street. The inconvenience lasted for about three hours.
As for the motorist, an investigation is still being conducted to figure out why the car was driven onto the tracks. The car was not struck but instead blocked rail traffic on the line. Federal law prohibits cars from driving along rail lines.
