The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 53-year-old woman whose body was found at about 10 a.m. today along Lightfoot Lane, according to a press release.

The woman’s body was taken to the Southern Tennessee Regional Health System hospital in Winchester where an autopsy was ordered. She was at first not immediately identified, but authorities later identified the body to be Portia Renee Duncan, who was reported missing before being found. 

“We identified her yesterday but wanted to ensure that all family members had been notified before releasing her name,” officials said.
