Trauma Bonded
It’s not about forgiveness. It’s not about belief.
It’s the one who’s holding power over the one who begs release.
The slightest of infractions, is stronger than his faith.
That is, if faith was ever there, and his love was in its place.
A power play between two souls. One dominate, one contrite.
One surrenders to subservience one dominates with might.
The drama of un-forgiveness is the rotting of the soul, pleasing one who can’t be pleased, both never letting go.
Self-righteous anger held by the one, toxic shame held by the other mocks the sacredness of a holy vow, as a flame of love is smothered.
No one, not even St Paul could define what love is when he wrote the Corinthians Love Chapter. He told us more of what love is not. Let us also bear this in mind.
