Tullahoma City Schools recently announced it will cease using its COVID-19 dashboard, beginning in 2023 due to minimal reported case numbers.
In a press release, TCS Director of Schools Dr. Catherine Stephens stated in the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year, TCS monitored and reported cases of COVID-19 at each campus daily and shared the information every day on the district website through September of this year.
“After minimal reported case numbers in the early fall, TCS began sharing this COVID-19 information weekly,” Stephens said. “The number of reported COVID-19-positive cases across the district continued to decrease through the fall semester. Therefore, TCS will cease using the dashboard as of January 2023.”
She noted if reported COVID cases increase, and the district believes weekly or daily reporting is necessary, TCS officials will do so. She added this will be communicated to everyone and TCS continues to reference the CDC guidelines and adjust the school district’s health and safety protocols as needed.
“TCS appreciates your continued support and is looking forward to a wonderful spring semester,” Stephens concluded.
