The Manchester Police Department have identified the deceased male found behind Walmart following the discovery of the body earlier this week.

According to MPD officials, the investigation had resulted in discovering the identity of the body to be Carlos Oropeza, 45.

MPD officials stated that foul play is not expected in Oropeza’s death, but results of an autopsy are still pending.

The police department responded to a call Tuesday morning of an unconscious male subject behind the store, located at 2518 Hillsboro Blvd in Manchester, near the edge of the store’s property line. When officers arrived on the scene they discovered the subject was a deceased. The individual was identified as homeless.

Investigators were unable to locate identification on the subject and were unable to immediately identify the subject or notify the deceased’s family. During the investigation it was determined that Oropeza most recently resided in West Virginia.

“Investigators were able to obtain names and phone numbers for individuals that were believed to be family and/or friends with the deceased,” department officials said. “The contacts and conversations led to investigators being able to identify the deceased.”
