Traffic came to a halt on North Jackson Street Wednesday morning when a car collided with a box truck.

According to Tullahoma Police Chief Chase Sons, a box truck was heading northbound on Jackson, and a sedan was traveling southbound.

“Witnesses state the driver of the sedan appeared to merge into oncoming traffic, striking the oncoming box truck,” Sons said.

He added that minor injuries were reported, but nothing severe at the time.

Officers are still on scene investigating the wreck.
