The Manchester Police Department is currently investigating a body that was discovered behind Walmart in Manchester Tuesday morning.

The police department responded to a call Tuesday morning of an unconscious male subject behind the store located at 2518 Hillsboro Blvd in Manchester. When officers arrived on the scene at 10:52 a.m. they discovered the subject was a deceased.

According to MPD Chief Investigator Brandon Tomberlin, the name of the individual is being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin. The victim is being sent to the state medical examiner’s office for autopsy.

Tomberlin declined to comment if foul play was suspected until the medical examiner’s report comes back.
