‘Cats complete sweep of the Tigers

The Tullahoma Wildcats hosted the Marshall County Tigers Tuesday for their second game in two days. Tullahoma won both games sweeping their first district opponent of the year. They won the first game 10-4 and the second game 4-1.

The Wildcats outplayed the Tiger Tuesday in every facet of the game. They had more hits, struck out less, and committed fewer errors. Tullahoma had two players with multiple hits, Andre Fulmer with two and Hunter Hogan with three. Hogan also stole two bases.

Starting on the mound for the ‘Cats was Baylan Tuten. Tuten threw five shutout innings, allowing only one hit as he stuck out eight Tiger batters. Andrew Zebick came in for Tuten in the 6th inning. Zebick faced four batters, struck one out and did not give up a hit. Wade Collins relieved Zebick in the 7th to finish the game. Collins struck out two batters and gave up one hit. The Tigers scored on a sacrifice fly in the 7th to avoid being shutout.

Tullahoma faces Lincoln County Monday and Tuesday for their second district series of the season. They host the Falcons Tuesday, April 4. The game will start at 6:30 p.m.
