Jamison Murphree, a master’s student in aerospace engineering at the University of Tennessee Space Institute, recently won first place in the master’s category at the American Institute of Aeronautics (AIAA) Regional Student Conference held in Knoxville.

He is now eligible to represent region two and compete at the AIAA International Student Conference held during the 2024 AIAA SciTech Forum in Orlando, Fla. AIAA holds annual regional student conferences for university students across the country. There are seven regions with Tennessee falling under region two.
