Police investigating armed robbery at Game X Change

The Tullahoma Police Department are searching for a suspect who held up two Game X Change employees Monday night.

According to a statement from the police department, officers responded to a call. on Monday, April 17, at 9:47 p.m. in reference to an armed robbery that took place earlier at the video game store at 1802 N. Jackson St. Once officers arrived, it was determined that a male subject approached two employees as they were locking up the store for the evening.

“The subject brandished a firearm and forced the employees inside the store at gunpoint,” TPD officials said. “The subject held the employees at gunpoint while having them empty store registers and the safe.”

The subject also broke the store phones and took the employees’ cell phones, as well as a store iPod. The subject then threatened the employees to not call for help for twenty minutes after he left.

“The employees used a neighboring business’s phone to call 911 for help twenty-seven minutes after the subject had fled the scene.”

The investigation is ongoing and the subject has not been apprehended. The subject is a white male and was seen wearing a dark blue Reebok hoodie, dark blue Reebok sweatpants and white, black, and red sneakers. One of the shoes said “Rage” on top and the other said “Sports.”
