Mariners win the City Championship

The Minor League season came to a close with the Mariners winning the City Championship game over the Athletics.

The Mariners won the Regular Season Title for the league and the Athletics finished second.

After the game the teams walked over to the field where the Major League City Championship was being played. The League’s trophy ceremony was held on field one at Waggoner park. Both teams that were in the Championship game got rewarded with rings. The Mariners were given a trophy to go with their rings. They were also awarded a trophy for being the regular season Champions and each player on the team got an individual trophy to show they were apart of the regular season champion team. Every other team and player were also award a medal, accommodating everyone for all of the time and effort put into the season. Every team also had a player awarded the sportsmanship award for the member on the team that displayed the true meaning of sports. The last thing at the ceremony was recognizing the players nominated to represent Tullahoma as the City All Stars in the District Tournament on June 16-19. There will be two 10u teams, and the minor leaguers are on those teams.
