Business students make Beta Gamma Sigma
The Jennings A. Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University inducted 86 students into Beta Gamma Sigma, the national scholastic honor society which is “dedicated to principles and ideals essential to a life well lived, as well as to a commendable business career.
Local students inducted include:
Nicholas Buckman of Tullahoma, majoring in Information Systems.
John Garner of Tullahoma, majoring in Business Administration.
Morgan Henley of Hillsboro, majoring in Business Administration.
Kimberly Posey of Fayetteville, majoring in Business Administration.
Savannah Woodard of Petersburg, majoring in Finance.
Beta Gamma Sigma chapters are only permitted to establish at business institutions who have worked to attain prestigious AACSB accreditation. Currently, just over 845 universities have earned this accreditation. Of that number, over 600 have established a Beta Gamma Sigma chapter.
From the pool of Beta Gamma Sigma chapters, only the top 10% of undergraduate students, the top 20% of graduate students and some of the most accomplished business practitioners are eligible to be recognized as a member.
