Snuggled at 301 E. Carroll St., Sweet Bee Coffee is Tullahoma’s newest coffee shop nest.

Sunday, July 16 was the shop’s soft opening day, but Tuesday was their first full day in service, according to the shop’s owner, Claire Garner.

“We want customers to experience good coffee, but with a fast pace,” she said about the drive thru coffee shop.

Garner added that they have a group of girls who are friendly and ready to serve the community with buzzing customer service.

She said the idea for the shop blossomed from her partner who originates from Portland, Ore. Her partner comes from a background in a completely coffee-crazed area that made him dream about opening his own coffee shop one day, and he got to realize his dream with Garner.

They received their LLCs in November of 2022, and got to work. The building they purchased “hadn’t been turned on in 19 years,” she said, “we put a lot of work into it.” They chose the name “Sweet Bee” to highlight the South and that good ol’ Southern-natured honey sweetness.

A drive thru complete with a shaded picnic table area, the shop is family and pet friendly sweet spot. Stop by and try their specialty drinks, the ‘Buzzy’ and the ‘Pollinator’. They are currently offering lunch items with restricted hours (from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) as they transition to serving breakfast and lunch.

Sweet Bee Coffee is open on week days from 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on weekends from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, you can reach them at their website https://sweetbeecoffee931.square.site/contact.
