VTHH participates in Jack Daniel’s EHS Employee Day
Vanderbilt Tullahoma – Harton Hospital (VTHH) was extremely appreciative of the opportunity to participate in the Jack Daniel’s Environmental, Health and Safety Day event for their employees last month.
The VTHH Rehabilitation Services Department provided information as well as demonstration of ergonomics and the importance of safe lifting. The VTHH Education Department provided blood pressure screenings, heart health information, and CPR Hands Only demonstration. The Vanderbilt LifeFlight helicopter and LifeFlight Ground Ambulance were on site as well.
At the “Ask the Doctor” tent, Vanderbilt Integrated (VI) Providers Dr. Justin Miller, family medicine, VI Internal Medicine Clinic Jackson and Dr. Wendy Pierce-Patton, orthopedics, VI Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, talked with attendees on a variety of health topics.
It was evident that a great deal of hard work and planning went into the event with focus on the health and safety of the Jack Daniel’s employees. Although held outdoors, with their providing of tents, tables, table covers, chairs and even food and water for the participants, all aspects of the event were flawless.
