Buller nominated for 2023 IBMA Awards

Local songwriter Becky Buller and Ned Luberecki are among this year’s nominees for the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) awards. 

Their nominations include: Gospel Recording Of the Year for “Tell Me The Story Of Jesus,” with Fanny Crosby as songwriter, arrangement by Buller and music by John R. Sweney.

Buller performs the song with Vince Gill and Ricky Skaggs featured on her first full length Christmas album “The Perfect Gift,” produced by Stephen Mougin for Dark Shadow Recording.

Luberecki is up for Banjo Player Of The Year. Luberecki will be returning as the voice of the IBMA Award Show.

Also featured on the show will be “Crooked Tree” by Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway for IBMA’s 2023 Album Of The Year, which features “Goodbye Girl” co-written by Buller.

The 2023 IBMA Award Show will be held Thursday, Sept. 28, at the Duke Energy Center in Raleigh, NC.  More information and a complete list of the nominees can be found at IBMA.org.
