McLayne Bobo breaks single season scoring record

Tullahoma High School girls’ soccer player McLayne Bobo scored her 38th goal of the season during the team’s 7-0 victory over Riverdale.

Bobo’s 38th goal broke the previous record of 37 was set by Julia Duncan in 2019. She has a chance to add onto that total as the season has not ended. Duncan also hold the career goal record with 92 which Bobo is on pace to break since she already has 43 goals as just a sophomore. 

The Lady Wildcats’ match against Riverdale was the last regular season match. Bobo scored three of the seven team goals. Catelynn Ballard added two goals while Avery Sisk and Jossalyn Garcia both scored one to round out the goals for the team. The team assisted on three of the seven goals. Sisk, Faith Vincent and Gracie Martin all had an assist each.

Tullahoma will play Central Magnet on Tue, Oct. 10 for their first district tournament game. The match will begin at 6:30 p.m.
