One person was injured after a semi-truck overturned on Riley Creek Road this past week.

According to the report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2013 Mack TT, driven by Jeremey Bogart, 33, was traveling northbound on Riley Creek Road on Tues, Oct. 10, at 7:10 a.m. when the trailer left the roadside on the right and went into the ditch.

“The driver attempted to correct this and get the trailer back onto the roadway; however, the vehicle’s trailer got sideways and rolled.”

Hickerson Volunteer Fire Department Chief Brett Cunningham said the semi-truck had left George Dickel Distillery after getting some mash. He added that it took a few hours to get the truck back up right and to clean up the accident. Bogart was injured and was flown out to receive medical attention.

There were no other reported injuries and no charges were filed.
