The Tullahoma Fine Arts Center will be hosting a book launch party for local author C. Rick Vella’s new book, “The Notorious Rockeater of Rutledge Falls,” this Sat, Oct. 21.
The book launch party will be from 4 – 6 p.m. where there will be signed copies of Vella’s second book “The Notorious Rockeater of Rutledge Falls” as well as refreshments, giveaways and a live reading at 5:30 p.m.
“Discover the mysterious creature that lurks in the darkness of Rutledge Falls, TN as Levi embarks on a thrilling journey. Learn with him the power of courage and bravery, and how these qualities can impact the lives of those around you.”
Vella announced the release of his second book during the Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce’s September Chamber Coffee event. He told attendees that the book is based on his time spent at Rutledge Falls.
“I spent a lot of time hiking around the trails of Rutledge Falls,” Vella said. “It’s a great place and it really was an inspiration for this.”
Vella said reading was important to him as he struggled with reading as he grew up with dyslexia.
“To be able (to come from) where I was as a kid and to be able to get two books published is awesome,” he said.
He added he donated copies of his latest book and his first book, “The Silly Situation That Made Samuel Smile,” to all local libraries near Tullahoma, including Fayetteville.
“The Notorious Rockeater of Rutledge Falls” is available now at Amazon.
