Special Olympic athletes hit a strike
S
Tullahoma Lanes opened their doors to welcome both the Adult Division, Area 13 Special Olympic Bowling Athletes on Wed, Oct. 18, and the following Tues, Oct. 24.
Area 13 Special Olympics consists of Bedford, Franklin, Lincoln, Moore, and Coffee Counties. The athletes participated in two rounds of bowling and were awarded ribbons and medals based on their scores. After a morning of intense bowling, athletes were then able to enjoy lunch provided by the Tullahoma Bowling League.
A special thanks is extended to Tullahoma Lanes, the Tullahoma Bowling League, all parents, friends, volunteers, and direct support staff who encouraged and assisted with the event, and especially to the athletes who always bring their best game to all events. The school age division held their games the following week on Tues, Oct. 24, where Tullahoma City Schools officials said that the event was such a fun day as the athletes competed their best and had a good time in the process.
