Aesop’s Fables featured this Fall

The public is invited to watch four of Aesop’s timeless tales hop to life this fall with Motlow’s theatrical production of Aesop’s Fables. All seats are free to the public with reservation, and this performance is suitable for the whole family.

Twelve Motlow students with the direction of Instructor of Theatre Brenden Taylor plan to offer performances throughout the month of November for elementary classes in the area. Teachers can contact Motlow’s Humanities department to learn about remaining available seats.

The students are excited to begin the performances and look forward to entertaining children in the community. Brianna Pence stated, “This is my first production with Motlow, but jumping into this journey has been a smooth transition. The theatre community here has a very close bond, and I would not change a thing.”

Amyrah Mynoymany said, “I’ve really enjoyed working on this play because everyone is so artistic. Everyone involved with the play has creative input, which makes the experience so much fun for both the actors and the audience.”

According to Izzie Thomas-Welch, “I’m excited because most productions are an intense process, but we are performing for kids, so we have a lot of creative freedom.”

Talia Dillard stated, “I started working with Motlow’s theatre for their production of Chicago. The process for this play has been great. This is the first kids’ play I have done in a while, so I am excited to feed off their energy.”

Paris Putman added, “I’ve never done a play with lines, so Mr. Brenden has made me get out of my comfort zone. I like how he makes everyone feel included and the play process easy to enjoy.”

Motlow will host a public performance on Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. with an opening reception at 6 p.m. To claim a seat, email dmartinez@mscc.edu or call 931-393-1700.
