Tullahoma bowling teams both win

Both Tullahoma High School Bowling teams had a match on Monday and both won. The boys beat Mt. Pleasant 26-1 while the girls beat Santa Fe 25-2.   

The boys’ team is now 4-2 on the season with the win. Aiden Floyd had the highest score of any bowler in the first American 10-pin game with 187. Jordyn Pilkington had the highest score of the day with a 234 in the second game. The Baker game team of Landyn Rogers, Bryson McKelvie, Britton Perry, Chase Dodson and Pilkington scored 186 winning all three possible points. The second game team of Steven Chambers, Eli Phillips, Anthony Velez, Colton McEwen and Floyd scored 203 winning those three points. Tullahoma won 11 of the 12 individual points in the American 10-pin games. They took every pinfall bonus points and all six Baker game points, giving them the 26-1 victory.

The girls’ team is now 3-0 on the season with their second win over Santa Fe. The order for the first American 10-pin game was: Emilee Hewitt, Rachael Mitchell, Christina Petty, Olivia Williams, Haylei Byrne and Elizabeth Prater. They took five of the six individual points. Petty had the highest score of the game with 181. The second game lineup was nearly the same, except Arianna Hudgins went between Williams and Byrne. Mitchell had the highest score in the whole match with a 203. The Lady Wildcats took five of the six available individual points again. They won both bonus total pinfall points to go up 14-2 before the Baker games. The team orders in the first game was Williams, Byrne, Hewitt, Petty and Mitchell. They scored 146, winning the three points. The second game order was Hudgins, Prater, Hewitt, Petty and Mitchell. They scored 164 to win the game. Tullahoma won the two bonus pinfall bonus points from the Baker games to give them the 25-2 victory.

Both teams will be competing against Santa Fe at Tullahoma Lanes on Monday. The matches will start at 3:30 p.m.
