Kenneth Wesley Cates, 87, of Cowan, passed away on Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems.  He was born in Franklin County on May 20, 1936, to the late John Martin and Odessa (Pittman) Cates Sr and grew up in Sherwood.  Funeral Services were held Nov. 9 in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Chuck Stines officiating. Interment followed at Cowan Montgomery Cemetery. 

Moore-Cortner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
