With the exception of the Tullahoma Christmas parade, one of the most anticipated holiday events is taking place next month.

Making its return this year after a short hiatus following COVID, the Holiday Tour of Homes and Silent Auction, hosted by the Tullahoma Day Care Center Board, is scheduled for Dec. 3. Home tours will be taking place from 1 – 5 p.m. and the Silent Auction will be 12:30 – 5:30 p.m. at the South Jackson Performing Arts Center. It’s anticipated that the Silent Auction will have an abundance of holiday décor, Christmas ornaments, gift certificates from area businesses and other fun items that would make perfect gifts.

Reba Walters, president of the TDCC Board, said she’s looking forward to this year’s event, and invites the community to come support a good cause.

“Many people in the community have asked for the return of the Holiday Tour of Homes,” Walters said. “The TDCC is excited about the homes on the tour, the silent auction and our partnership with South Jackson Performing Arts Center, to include the Trees of Christmas on the tour. You are guaranteed a fun afternoon and a good start to the Christmas season! And best of all, it benefits the important work of Tullahoma Day Care Center and the families we serve.”

This year there are four unique Tullahoma homes to view as part of the Tour of Homes event. They include the Shelton Residence at 11 Kensington Lane; the Hull Residence at 304 South Jackson Street; the Saunders Residence at 2096 Ledford Mills Road; and the Dent Residence at 234 Lake Hills Road. The houses can be visited in any order.

Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased online at www.tullahomadaycare.com or by stopping in at one of the following local businesses: Smart Bank, The Flower Shoppe, Clayton’s Shoe Store, The Yellow Tulip, T-Michelle Clothiers and Trader’s Bank on Jackson Street. The ticket price also includes a visit to see the Trees of Christmas at the South Jackson Performing Arts Center.
