Bank robbery suspect still at large

Authorities are still looking for a suspect that robbed a Manchester bank this past week.

The CapStar Bank located at 1814 Hillsboro Blvd in Manchester was robbed at approximately 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 22, by an unidentified black male, according to the Manchester Police Department.

Officers are looking for the subject who entered the bank wearing a red hoodie. The subject was initially suspected to be in a red minivan; however, an update from police indicated that a silver or gray sedan could have been involved. The vehicle could have been seen in parked at Carden Estates Apartments, on Summer St. near Animal Health Clinic.

The Manchester Police Department are working with Federal Bureau of Investigation agents headquartered in Chattanooga. The police department advise residents to not approach the suspect and to call 911.

No further information is available at this time. 

CapStar Market President Brent Parsley said in a statement that all management and staff did exactly as they should with the security training they receive.

“All are safe, no one was injured and no customer came into the lobby during the robbery.  It could have turned worse very quick,” Parsley writes.

Manchester Police warn the public do not approach the suspect and to notify 911.
