Linda Faye Baker Barstad, 83, of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, at her residence. 

She was born in Walling on Oct. 28, 1940, to the late Woodrow Wilson Baker and Betty Elowease (Templeton) LaCook.  She started her professional career working as a case worker for the Orange County Judicial System before being employed as an educator for the Tullahoma City Schools system for over forty years. When she was able, Linda enjoyed working in the garden, and she was an avid lover of animals. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ben Baker; adopted daughter, Kathy Sanders; and step-son, Brooke Barstad.  Linda is survived by her loving sons, Joe A. (Sherry) Barstad of Tullahoma, and Christopher L. (Claire Burton) Barstad of Tullahoma; sister, Judy (Rodney) Bretveld of Winter Haven, Florida; step-sons, Dane Barstad, Russell (Kathy) Barstad, and Clay (Melonie) Barstad; grandchildren, Austin Creasman, and Nic Barstad; and step-grandchildren, Caitlyn Barstad, Augustus Barstad, Dawn Spikes, Jennifer Webb, Dylan Barstad, Peyton Barstad, Victoria Barstad, and Hannah Barstad.

Visitation will be on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023, from 2-3:30 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Rev.
