Ernest Albert Stafford, age 83 of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, at V.A. Medical Center in Murfreesboro. He was born on September 28, 1940, in Tracy City to the late Ernest Elmore and Mildred Elizabeth (Sanders) Stafford and was a graduate of Franklin County High School, where he played football. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 20, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens with military honors bestowed.
