“We are happy to announce that Imagination Station has been cleaned and reopened,” officials said in a statement. “First, a tremendous thank you to the immense amount of people who volunteered to help. We are grateful for the community’s willingness to help.”
With a few members of the staff available and a volunteer team from Wright’s Pressure Washing, the playground was cleaned up and reopened on Tuesday, Dec. 26.
“Thank you to everyone for the outpouring of offers to assist, and thank you to Wright’s Pressure Washing for their time and work getting us back open,” park and rec officials said.
The investigation into who was responsible for the vandalism is ongoing. If anyone has any information, contact the Tullahoma Police Department at 931-455-0530.

The Tullahoma Parks and Recreation department has announced that the Imagination Station will be closed until further notice.
The department made the announcement on its social media pages Sunday about closing the Imagination Station to the public due to vandalism.
“Last night, someone vandalized the entire playground with extremely inappropriate symbols, images, and words,” parks and rec officials said. “The amount of clean-up and restoration this will require is beyond what our staff can accomplish over the holiday break.”
The parks and rec department have filed a report with the Tullahoma Police Department, and encourages anyone who has any information to contact the police department. The Imagination Station parking lot has been taped off until further notice.
“Please do not cross the barricades and caution tape. We’ll do our best to get it ready for play as soon as we can.”
The other playgrounds at East Park, Frazier McEwen Park and Waggoner Park are open and available until then, per officials.
