Sparks, parts and pieces will be flying off this weekend as the Hands-On Science Center will hosting T-Town Beatdown 2 this Saturday.

“Gear up for an electrifying day of robot combat action at T-Town Beatdown 2,” event officials said. “Join us for an adrenaline-pumping event featuring intense battles, engaging exhibitions and interactive fun for all ages. Get your tickets now and secure your spot at the ultimate robot combat extravaganza!”

T-Town Beatdown 2 will take place at the science center’s campus on Sat, Jan. 6, from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Attendees will have the day to witness the robots battle it out in various weight classes as the robots’ teams showcase the cutting-edge technology use to create the combatants. Attendees can also experience the various hands-on activities and tech-centric exhibits.

The inaugural T-Town Beatdown took place last July, which was met with huge success and people asking when the next event will be taking place, according to HOSC Executive Director Sean Amidon.

When the inaugural competition was finished, the winners in the various weight classes include for the fairyweight group, The Edge, with Confabulation and Juggernaut taking second and third place respectively. For the antweight division, Cyber Wolf came out on top with Swoop and Recyclops taking second and third. Winning first place in the beetleweight division was Performance Anxiety while 3Wood took second place and Ramses II claimed third place.

Attendees can choose a variety of ticket options, with some including prime seating and VIP access. Tickets can be purchased here.
