Walter Scott Robertson Obituary

Walter Scott Robertson of Tullahoma passed away on Friday, Jan. 5, 2024 at Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital at the age of 67.

Scott was born in Tullahoma to the late Walter Douglas and Mary Scott Robertson. During his life, he worked for many years as a custom homebuilder, a machinist for Microcraft and Nissan, and was currently employed as a Building and Codes Inspector for the City of Tullahoma. Scott loved to be outside, and had no shortage of projects to keep himself busy. He was a perfectionist by nature, and will be fondly remembered by many as a mentor who was always available to listen and offer advice. In his admittedly spare time, he enjoyed watching Alabama football, NASCAR, and playing golf. In addition to his parents, Mr. Robertson was greeted in Heaven by his brother, Phil Robertson. He is survived by his loving wife, Regina Butler Robertson; two sons, Christopher Scott Robertson (Risa), and David Matthew “Matt” Robertson; one step-daughter, Leah Fly (Kyle); one step-son, Andrew Scott; five grandchildren, Tyler, Alyce, Alexa, Aiden, and Jackson; two nieces, Shannon Mallich, and Amanda Robertson; and countless friends whom he cherished.

Funeral services took place Tuesday, Jan. 9 in the Kilgore Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Jeff Collett officiating. Burial followed at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with John Darden, Ronnie Long, Greg Lewis, Charles Rush, Tony Mercado, and Emad Alaweneh serving as pallbearers, and City of Tullahoma employees as honorary pallbearers.

Kilgore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
