The Middle Tennessee Council of Boy Scouts of America will hold its 32nd annual Nashville Patron Luncheon on Tuesday, March 5 at the Music City Center and a Tullahoma scout is amongst those being honored at the event.

More than 800 community leaders and supporters will be in attendance to honor the Council’s six Scouts of the Year, learn about the success of Scouting programs, and hear from Keynote Speaker, former Tennessee Governor, Bill Haslam.

The luncheon is the Council’s largest fundraising event, and this very successful lunch will raise more than $1,800,000. Winston Justice, Vice President at AllianceBerstein, and the Council’s Friends of Scouting Chair, will announce the giving total at the end of the luncheon. The Middle Tennessee Council would like to thank everyone who has invested in valuable programs that change the lives of almost 11,000 youth in Middle Tennessee.

Previous Keynote Speakers include Retired General David Petraeus, former University of Tennessee Head Coach Butch Jones, former Tennessee Titans Head Coach Mike Vrabel, and author John C. Maxwell.

The Middle Tennessee Council Scouts of the Year being honored are William Schroeder (Clarksville), Liam Alexander (Gallatin), Kaitlyn Brown (Tullahoma), Samuel Rumbley (Mount Juliet), Ephraim Rodenbach (Carthage), and Kendall Beard (La Vergne).

Larry Brown, Scout Executive and CEO of the Council said, “We are grateful for the loyal support of so many who give their time, talents and resources to ensure that youth throughout Middle Tennessee are given the opportunity to benefit from the outstanding programs provided through Scouting. The values found in the Scout Oath and Law are timeless and continue to create the leaders our Country needs.”

The Nashville Patron Luncheon is a priority of the Middle Tennessee Council Scouting program. For information on how to support and make a difference in a Scout’s life, contact Director of Finance Services, Kevin McMurrian, at kmcmurrian@mtcbsa.org.
