Family tradition – second generation racers win soap box derby
DUANE SHERRILLEditor
The 23rd running of the soap box derby saw second generation winners take the checkered flag as storm clouds gave way to a perfect day for racing on Lincoln Street Saturday.
The 2024 edition of the local classic had four 2nd generation Tullahoma racers in it. The Super Stock winner is a second generation division champion (Grayson Hall, son of previous Super Stock champ Dustin Hall.) Lilah Norris won the Stock Division in 2022, and her father, Will, was a previous division champion in 2000.
Arliss Douglas and Grayson Hall will represent Tullahoma at the 86th International SBD Championship on July 20 in Akron, OH. They were the winners of the Stock and Super Stock division, respectively.
