Juliette “Judy” Bramlett Stidham Obituary
Juliette “Judy” Bramlett Stidham of Tullahoma passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Vanderbilt- Wilson County Hospital at the age of 85.
Judy was born in Jacksonville, AL to the late John and Frances Grogan Bramlett. She grew up in rural Alabama, where she worked on the family farm. She was a graduate of Lincoln (AL) High School, and upon graduation, Judy worked as a bookkeeper for Haverty’s Furniture in Anniston, AL. On Aug. 20, 1960 Judy married Herman Stidham after a short courtship. They soon settled in Tullahoma when Herman went to work for AEDC. Judy spent several years as a homemaker, but later worked at the Highland Baptist Church Daycare. She finished her career at Motlow State Community College in Admissions and Records, where she worked for 20+ years. Even after her retirement, Judy was invited back for several years to help with student registration. Later in life, Judy was a dedicated caregiver to her husband for many years as he battled health issues. Judy was a member of Highland Baptist church for 54 years. She was a devout Christian, who will leave a legacy for many future generations. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Stidham; and two brothers, Garland and Gary Bramlett.
Mrs. Stidham is survived by her two sons, Alan Stidham (Jeana), and Daryl Stidham (Michelle), one sister, Rita Bramlett; four grandchildren, Alex, Haley, and Peyton Stidham, and Ty Collier (Caiah); and two great-grandchildren, Titus and Tatum Collier.
Visitation for Mrs. Stidham will be held on Saturday, May 25 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Kilgore Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jim Norman officiating. For those who wish, the family asks that donations in Judy’s memory be made to Highland Baptist Church – 808 W. Hickory St. Tullahoma, TN 37388.
