Tate, Sisk named new TMS coaches

Tullahoma City Schools recently announced the naming of two new middle school athletic coaches. Jim Tate will be leading the TMS football team, while Amy Sisk is now head coach of the TMS girls soccer team.
Tate is a former Wildcat football player and takes over for Mike Frederick who resigned at the end of last season. After being announced as the new TMS coach, Tate said he can’t wait to take over the program he once played for.
“It’s an honor and privilege to have the opportunity to lead a program like Tullahoma Middle School,” Tate said. “The previous staff did a great job, and I look forward to assembling a staff to help take TMS to new levels and serve as a true foundational building block for the high school. To have the opportunity to give back to the kids of this community on the same field that I shed blood, sweat and tears on is surreal.”
Sisk will helm the TMS girls soccer team and has already assembled a coaching staff to accompany her. While Sisk is listed as the head coach, she will have Cody McMurtry, Heather Hyden and former Lady Wildcat soccer player Reagan Rogers as assistant coaches.
“It’s going to be a collaborative effort, definitely not just me,” Sisk said. “In the past several years there has been a joint effort in coaching middle school soccer. I love soccer and these girls, so it was an easy choice. Coach McMurtry and Coach Hyden feel the same. Having Reagan Rogers coach as well will be great. We are excited.”
