Bonnaroo 2024 is better than ever before
T
Are you going to Bonnaroo? Seems to be the most popular question the month June for most local residents. This one word will either bring up an element of concern or feelings of excitement in most homes. Concern for the unknown or excitement for those veteran Bonnarooians that have wonderful memories of attending.
For us at Highland Rim Habitat for Humanity, we really enjoy the opportunity of being involved.
Since 2019 we have participated in a grant opportunity labeled as Bonnaroo Works Fund.
Along with this opportunity we typically are asked to join a number of nonprofit groups from across American to set up in a specific area inside of Bonnaroo referred to as PlantRoo.
PlantRoo is a community of nonprofits based on the belief of respect for our surrounding in all capacities.
Recycle/Reuse/Repurpose/SUSTAINABILITY is the core. This festival has worked tirelessly over the years at practicing this concept by educating festival attendees.
This year going a layer deeper by embracing that no community is sustainable unless every member of the communities voices are heard. Radiating positive vibes by being compassionate to each other at all times. Not just at Bonnaroo – but in everyday life.
There will be a medley of organizations spotlighting their mission in four days by means of speaking on panels views on how to make our world a better place.
As for the MUSIC this year , the lineup includes a brush from every genre including EDM , R&B soul , Pop Rock, county , Jazz and even Blue Grass.
I am looking forward to seeing Pretty Lights and Post Malone. The rumor is Jelly Roll will be in the area again and could do another SURPRISE performance like he did last year when he joined Three Six Mafia show.
The food is literally out of this world and shopping is like walking into the largest EarthBound store ever.
This will be our fourth year as a nonprofit who share like view with Plantroo by continuing to create communities who are sustainable.
We currently have a build project in Tullahoma that we are working on. Reach us on Facebook for more information about this year’s project.
