Kurt Glick announces mayoral run

Tullahoma Alderman Kurt Glick has announced his bid for Mayor of Tullahoma.

His announcement reads in full:

“Fellow Citizens of Tullahoma, I am honored to announce my candidacy for Mayor of our beloved city. As a lifelong resident and dedicated public servant for 38 years, I am deeply committed to Tullahoma’s well-being and prosperity.

“Before outlining my vision, I want to directly address the recent criminal charges against me. While I cannot discuss all details of this ongoing legal matter, I do not believe I could have violated the statutes in question through my conduct as an Alderman after my City employment ended. Tennessee law imposed no duty on me to recuse myself from the vote concerning a city employee. I assure you; this charge will not deter my commitment to serving Tullahoma’s citizens with integrity and transparency.

“My vision for Tullahoma centers on three key priorities: 1) Managing growth to preserve our small-town character while attracting desirable development, 2) Upgrading our aging infrastructure through a formal capital improvement plan, and 3) Ensuring fiscal responsibility by not increasing the tax burden on citizens.

“As your Mayor, I will uphold the principles of equality, transparency and constitutional rights. Together, we will forge a future where the people control the government, and our city thrives.

“I humbly ask for your support and vote during early voting from July 12-27 or on Election Day, August 1. You can reach me at kurtglick@icloud.com, (931) 800-9827, or 117 Thomaswood Chase, Tullahoma, TN 37388.

“Let us unite and work for a free and successful future for Tullahoma.”
