A man has been charged with trying to pay women to perform sexual favors for him.
The suspect, Michael Joe Edwards, 51, is charged with solicitation to commit sexual favors for allegedly propositioning two women at a Manchester hotel.
The incident reportedly happened at the Southern Inn. Police said they were told upon arrival at the inn that Edwards “offered to pay them for sex”. When asked about what happened, Edwards maintained he was left holding the bag when he gave them money for sex and got nothing.
“He agreed and stated that he paid the females $150 so they would have sex with him,” the suspect reportedly confessed when asked by police but noted he got nothing for his money. “The females accepted the money and then later called the police.”
Other residents at the hotel told police that Edwards “often offers to pay women for sex.”
