Reigning champs top standings

The Stache finished the Tullahoma Men’s Baseball League regular season atop the standings at 8-2.
They beat the Braves 8-2 on the final night and got help from the Shelbvul Shovels to be the leaders heading into the postseason. The Shovels beat the Piñatas, the team with the tiebreaker over the Stache. Both the Stache and Shovels were 8-2 to end the year, but the Stache beat the Shovels back on July 30, so they won the regular season. The Piñatas finished in third place ahead of the Royals even though both teams were 7-3, because the Piñatas won 5-0 on July 30. The Reds were the fifth place team at 5-5 after a 14-2 win over the Pink Sox to end the season. The Braves were alone in sixth place at 3-7, while the Outlaws and Pink Sox round out the standings at 1-9 each.
The postseason begins Thursday with the Stache playing the Pink Sox in Grider at 6 p.m. with the Royals and Reds following. The Piñatas play the Braves at 6 p.m. at Greene Field with the Shovels and Outlaws after. The winners will play each other on the Monday Aug. 19 at Grider. The first game will be at 6 p.m.
