Tullahoma runners show out at Jamboree

The Tullahoma High School and Middle School cross country teams competed in the Cookeville Cross Country Jamboree last week.

Tullahoma had six runners finish in the top 15. Three of those runners were from the TMS team; Lincoln Bitton in second, Jeffery LopezShrum at 14 and Ashleigh Johnson in fourth. The three high school runners in the top 15 were Lukas Price at 14, KG Nichols in 7 and Julianna Ites at 12.

There are 39 runners on Tullahoma’s Cross Country teams this year. The high school girls’ team has 10 runners. They are: Bella Rivera, Audrey Sohrabi, Lexi Lester, Addie Colvin, Kailyn Hasty, Brindley Duncan, Sophie Call, Ites, Nichols and Addison Vincent. The high school boys’ team has 13 runners. Kirk Tipps, Kelly Mizell, Jackson Ites, Major Montoye, Everett Tinsley, Price, Andrew Carmack, Gage Allen, Haddon Payne, Zac Nunley, Jace Fisher, William Nichols and Wyatt Dorsett make up the team.

The middle school Lady ‘Cats are Hannah Eakin, Natalie Davis, Claire Hyden, Johnson, Rose Duval, Phoenix Fisher, Kahmya Dixon and Eden Marsh. The nine boys that make up the middle school Wildcats’ team are: Bitton, LopezShrum, Jamison Szmodis, Owen Sohrabi, Brooks Bennett, James Davenport, Seth Lynch, Izayiah Johnson and Kai Hayashi.

The next Cross Country meet is the Green Hills Invitational on Aug. 31.
