Tullahoma Day Care has Special Guests

R

The children of Tullahoma Day Care had two special guests on Friday, Sept. 6. Mother and daughter Julie and Sydney Horton brought two baby goats for the children to see. The goats are twins named Lucy and Angel.

The Horton Family owns Dreamcatcher Farm, a hobby farm in the Hickerson Station area. They also have horses, cows, cats, and dogs on the farm. When asked by board chairperson Dori Henninger if they would bring the goats in for the children, they were happy to do so.

The children were delighted with the baby goats and crowded around for their turn to pet them. The goats didn’t seem to mind all the attention in the least. Occasionally they would let out a little bleat, which made the children giggle. Even director Emma Coleman and Nita Estill got in on the fun and held the goats themselves.

As the children can’t go out on field trips, having guests in for fun and educational events is something special. Dori Henninger is always on the lookout for those special guests and events for the children. If you would like to be involved, you can call Director Emma Coleman at 931-455-4197 and discuss it with her.
