Lady Wildcats sweep district match

The Tullahoma High School volleyball team beat Franklin County 25-8, 25-14, 25-11 on Tuesday night.
The win gives Tullahoma a 4-7 on the season and 2-5 in district play. The win ended a four game losing streak.
In the match Isabella Lidstrom led the team with nine kills. Freshmen Emily Bell and Adalyn Nelson were tied second on the team with four. Gabriella DaCosta had three, while Jada Spry, Aubrey North and Olivia Spencer had one. Tullahoma had 12 aces in the contest, Spencer led the way with five. Lidstrom had three. Spry and DaCosta had two. There were only two blocks for the Lady ‘Cats. Lidstrom had the solo block. Bell and DaCosta combined for the other. Spencer and North combined for 26 of the team’s 41 digs. Spencer had 15 and North had 11. Lidstrom had five, Spry had four, Gabbi Gardner and DaCosta had two, Bell had one and so did Nelson. Spry had 14 assists out of 16. North and Spencer had the other two.
On Monday the Lady Wildcats lost a match against Fayetteville 25-27, 20-25, 21-25. Lidstrom led the team in kills again with nine. Spry had four, Bell had three, DaCosta had two, while Nelson, Gardner and Taylor Brinkley had one. Lidstrom also led the team in aces with three. Spry had two, Spencer and Brinkley had one. Tullahoma had a pair of blocks. Lidstrom, Bell, Nelson and Avanley Metcalf all assisted on one. They had 44 digs, led by Spencer with 11. Spry and North had six. Lidstrom and DaCosta had five. Brinkley had four, Nelson had three. Gardner, Bell, Maggie Lynch and Metcalf all had one. Spry and Brinkley tied for most assists with six. Spence had three and North had two.
Last week in the loss to Spring Hill, Tullahoma was led in kills by Bell with eight. Lidstrom had seven. Nelson had six. DaCosta had three, Spry with two, Brinkley and Madalin Lidstrom had one. Spry had a pair of aces and Brinkley had one. I. Lidstrom and Metcalf each had a solo block in the match. The Lady ‘Cats had 62 digs. North led the way with 13. Lynch and Spencer had 10 each. Spry, Brinkley and Nelson had seven. Metcalf was next with three, then Bell with two and DaCosta with one. Spry had 12 assists. Brinkley had eight, North and Spencer had two and Nelson had one.
The Lady Wildcats will be back in action on Tuesday at Shelbyville. They come back home Thursday to take on Columbia at 6 p.m.
