Lady Wildcats win fourth straight match

The Tullahoma High School volleyball team hosted the Columbia Central Lion and won in straight sets 25-23, 25-18, 25-10 for their fourth win in the last two weeks.
The win makes the Lady ‘Cats record on the season 7-7 with a 5-5 district split. This win extended the longest win streak of the season to four.
Isabella Lidstrom led Tullahoma in the latest win with 16 of the team’s 32 kills. She also had one ace, three solo blocks, seven digs and one assist. Olivia Spencer had four aces, 10 digs and three assists. Jada Spry led the team in assists with 25.
On Tuesday the Lady Wildcats went to Shelbyville and picked up a straight set win 25-14, 25-18, 25-10 win. Lidstrom led the team in kills with 12. The team racked up 16 aces, seven different ‘Cats had at least one. Spry, Gabbi Gardner and Spencer led the way with three. Lidstrom, Adalyn Nelson and Maggie Lynch had two. Gabriella DaCosta had one. Emily Bell and Lidstrom had the team’s two blocks, one each. Spencer was the only girl with double digit digs at 12. Spry led the team in assists again with 22 out of the 25 total.
The Lady ‘Cats are fourth in the district, tied with Coffee County. They are one game back of Lawrence County in third place and two behind Columbia in second. There are four district games left on the schedule, one with Lawrence County, Lincoln County, Spring Hill and Franklin County. Tullahoma lost the first match with Lawrence County, Lincoln County and Spring Hill.
Tullahoma will be playing at home Monday when they host Forrest at 6 p.m. They will host Lawrence County Tuesday in a very important district match Tuesday at 6 p.m.
