Funeral services for Mark David Sullenger, 46, of Moore County will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Everheart officiating. Burial will follow in Lynchburg Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday evening.

Mark was born Aug, 11, 1978, in Tullahoma to the late Debra Reeves Sullenger and Thomas Sullenger who survives. He was a supervisor for Doric vault installation and later in the construction of water lines where he was also a heavy equipment operator. He was of the Baptist faith. Mark enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved grilling, was a passionate fan of the Las Vegas Raiders, and found joy working with plants and trees. He passed away on Sept. 28, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Survivors include his father, Tommy Sullenger; son, Miles Sullenger of Tullahoma; daughter, Courtney Sullenger of Tullahoma; nephews, Breyer Sullenger and Gavin Sullenger; and several extended family members. In addition to his mother, Mark was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Matthew Sullenger; and his beloved dog, Dixie.
