Tullahoma Arts Crawl comes to downtown Tullahoma
The Tullahoma Arts Council are inviting art lovers and members of the public to join in the Downtown Tullahoma Arts Crawl on Tuesday, Oct. 15 from 5 to 8 p.m.
The annual event showcases performing and visual artists, musical artists, woodworkers, poets, ventriloquists, and many more types of mixed media artists to celebrate all different disciplines of artistry in our community. Over 40 local and regional artists will be displaying their work and interacting with the public by holding demonstrations and performances of their craft.
“We are thrilled to have so many talented and creative minds participating in our Arts Crawl this year,” said Greg Gressel, Chairman of the Tullahoma Arts Council. “The Council has worked tirelessly to ensure this event is the best one yet. We’re excited, our artists are excited, and we know that the public will love what they see.”
Fifteen businesses in Downtown Tullahoma will play host to artists for people to come visit. Locations include City Sandwich Company, 122 West Restaurant, London’s Bar and Grill, Clayton’s Shoes, The Seafood Place, The Avenues, Daddy Billy’s, Spinelli’s, The Atlantic Venue, Sundrop Shoppe, Memories Antiques, The Well Church, Penny Jacks, The Ice Cream Distillery and the Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce.
“We’re grateful to our Downtown businesses for embracing this great event and supporting the arts in our community. This is also an opportunity for our local business owners to welcome new faces into their businesses and promote shopping and supporting our local stores,” said Gressel. “Visual and performing arts generates a significant amount of tourism for our city, and the Arts Council is proud to support our community in this way.”
The Arts Crawl is a free event that will feature a passport that visitors can get stamped at each location and artist they visit. A Welcome Tent will be set up at the grass lot on the corner of Lincoln Street and Wall Street Alley where visitors can pick up a map, a passport and a listing of each artist and the location they will be displaying their work.
The Tullahoma Arts Council holds public meetings on the third Thursday each month at Tullahoma City Hall beginning at 3:15 p.m. Residents can engage with the Tullahoma Arts Council on their website at www.tullahomaartscouncil.com or by email at tullahomaartscouncil@gmail.com.
