According to Marketing Manager Allie Coffey, Dwell Fine Interiors is an interior design firm that was founded by C.E.O. and her mother, Tanya Coffey, in 2019.
“She has been in interior design for over 30 years and she knew being located in Shelbyville, there wasn’t anything like it,” Allie said. “She knew there was a need for that in our community.”
Allie said when Tanya found a 110-year-old building to be the interior design studio, and she had to put her experience and skills to work to remodel the building.
“As talented as she is, she had to come into that building and showcased what her talents on top of starting a new business,” Allie said. “It’s a description of how talented (she is) and what she can actually do for her clients.”
As Dwell Fine Interiors grew in Shelbyville, Tanya and her team began looking to expand and saw there was a market in Tullahoma. They looked around for a location and landed at the former Henry and McCord law office. Allie praised Tanya’s talent for envisioning her ideas, and quickly transformed the former office building into the current storefront.
“When we walked into this building, I had no idea what we were going to do with it, and to see the original beginning of this building to where it is now is incredible,” Allie said. “We are so excited to be able to bring amazing things here to all the amazing communities.”
Following the expansion of the second location, Dwell Fine Interiors celebrated its five year anniversary and announced it would be consolidating its two stores to the one in Tullahoma due to outgrowing its Shelbyville location.
