Tabor wins country song of the year

Local talent Macy Tabor was recently named Female Modern Country Song of the Year with her song “A Match Made In Hell” at the 10th Annual Josie Music Awards for Independent Artist at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville this past Sunday.

The Josie Music Awards are the largest Music Awards for Independent Artist in the world. There were a total of 75,000 submissions this year and only 3.7% received a nomination.  This year Tabor was nominated for six awards including Artist of the Year,  Vocalist of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, Fan’s Choice, Songwriter’s Achievement Award, and for the award that she won, Modern Country Song of the Year. 

Tabor wrote the song “A Match Made In Hell” with her longtime friends Ken and Landon Wall. The song, which was released in March, reached #1 on the Independent Charts and was produced by Zac Maroof – Ran Red Productions /MC1 Nashville/DKM via The Orchard, a division of Sony Music Entertainment.
