One Day of Hope donates $2K to schools
Tullahoma City Schools recently received a $2,000 donation from One Day of Hope of Coffee County, Inc. These funds will help students and families who need the support, including purchasing gas or grocery cards, shoes, additional clothing, or other necessary items.
This donation was made possible by One Day of Hope’s generous sponsors. One Day of Hope donated $2,000 to TCS, Coffee County Schools and Manchester City Schools.
More than 300 volunteers took part in One Day of Hope’s 2024 event that was held on Saturday, Oct. 26. Those volunteers served more than 1,600 guests to help them with medical screenings, job services, haircuts, family portraits, hygiene items, clothes, children’s books, backpacks, shoes and lunch. The organization also gave out 1,400 coats, 6,000 pairs of new socks and 1,000 men’s undershirts. Guests also had the opportunity to receive prayer upon request.
All the remaining items from the event were loaded into an 18-wheeler and transported to the victims of Hurricane Helene in Eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolina. Next year’s One Day of Hope event is scheduled for Oct. 18, 2025.
