Relief effort underway following house fire

A family of six lost their home in Franklin County Wednesday when fire consumed their house, destroying all of their belongings.

Multiple firefighting agencies responded to the fire on Gourdneck Road; however, the residence was a total loss. The fire left a great need for the family, composed for a mother and five children, since they lost all of their belongings. As such, a grass roots relief effort is underway to help provide necessities for the family. Absolute Pawfection at 509 N. Jackson Street, STC C in Tullahoma is a drop off location for the items that the family needs. Hard Rock Tattoo is also a drop off location.

In the area of clothes, girl’s sizes 4T and 5T are needed and boys size 10. For shoes boys size 5, and size 11 young girls and size 9 girls for three girls are needed. The mother is size medium shirts and size 5-7 jeans. The family could also use toys for the children.
