Wildcats’ stud special teams man and wide out, Khani Johnson played at the Tennessee East-West All-Star Classic on Dec.14. The event encompasses some of the best players in the state of TN—featuring multiple D-1 signees from the likes of Indiana, South Carolina, Mississippi State, and Arkansas State.

Johnson, who has yet to ink a deal with a collegiate program, played for the East team for the 17th annual game held at Austin Peay University and showed well. The senior Wildcat caught all four of his targets for 68 yards.

“Had fun at the TN East-West All-Star game, and was blessed to be there,” said Johnson.

Johnson and his fellow All-Stars on the East team, lost to West 37-27, splitting the tie-breaker in the event in West favor at 9-8.

Johnson’s pads are hung up for the time being, as he will again lace up his shoes for coach Jason Welch’s basketball program, but who knows what will be brewing in the coming months when it comes to Johnson’s athletic future at the collegiate level.
