Tullahoma City Schools will go remote due to winter storms

Due to the expected weather and in an abundance of caution, Tullahoma City Schools will use a remote learning day this Friday, Jan. 10.
A few years ago, the state of Tennessee passed a law regarding remote learning days. This law allows school districts to use up to two remote learning days each semester. Since this law was passed, Tullahoma High School has utilized these remote learning days for EOC/ACT testing. THS only plans to use one remote day this semester, and the district will utilize this Friday as a remote learning day for the entire district.
Remote learning days differ from school closure days when stockpiled days are used. If TCS closes and uses a stockpiled day, schools are closed, and remote instruction is not offered. That additionally means that breakfast and lunches are not served.
Schools are closed when remote learning days are used too, but instruction continues to take place at home, student attendance is taken, and meals are provided. Essentially, the day’s learning moves from school to home. The district and schools have communicated these plans to parents for Friday, Jan. 10.
Please note that TCS Kool Kids is not open on remote learning days.
